Who We Are

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide all the secured furnishings necessary to “Make a Home”. Our focus is supporting veterans who have served, neighbors in need, and individuals and families in the community who have experienced significant life challenges. We do this by reducing the community environmental footprint while serving others.

Our Vision

Our vision is that every family in Connecticut should have the ability to “Make a Home” feel like home. We believe furnishing a home should not be burdensome nor contribute to the cycle of poverty and recurring homelessness in CT. Thanks to our dedicated staff, volunteers and strong community partnerships we are collectively moving in the right direction.

What We Do

Thank you for picking up our desks & TV’s last week. I know the last desk was a challenge. I’m so happy to know more about your agency and all the good you do for people in the community.

Pick-up Crew

I wanted to leave you with the most impressive moment of our visit to MAHF.

I was asked “The baby is a boy, right?” I said yes. I was then handed a framed alphabet picture that would be a perfect addition to a small boys room.
I’m sure that wasn’t on the punch list of items for my niece, unless you have a section labelled “Turn a house into a home” or “Items from the heart”.

Thank you all so very much!!

Thank you for the generous donations of furniture and home goods; these items have helped us to improve and enhance the quality of our homes. We are grateful for your support and assistance.
Thank you,
